THE FOUNTAINHEAD

20 minutes along the trail, visitors will find one of the reserve’s most iconic spots: a mesmerizing limestone river bank from which a natural spring flows. The centerpiece of this location is the mouth of a Marble Cavern (Caverna de los Guacharos), from which a fountain of water continuously pours into the river. The entire setting is framed by a thick forest that hangs off the canyon’s limestone cliffs, giving visitors a beautiful spectacle of the interplay between vegetation and geology.

“In addition to the captivating landscape, visitors can enjoy at this site an energizing swim in natural pool.”.
