BOCA CAIMÁN

BOCA CAIMÁN

This place owes its name to a majestic ledge carved by the river, suggesting the mouth of an alligator. There, rows of stalactites and stalagmites seem to be the teeth of an antediluvian lizard. Here visitors can appreciate the magnitude and the real dimensions of the canyon, geological heritage for humanity. It is reached by a trail , 40 minutes from the central courtyard. Getting there demands a higher level of physical aptitudes.

An imposing limestone cliff, engulfed by the tropical jungle.
