Rio Claro: a Living Laboratory

Since 2007, as a member of the University of Antioquia, I have been visiting Rio Claro each semester with students and faculty from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. The natural wealth that is so zealously protected in this refuge, a natural patrimony for the entire Nation, receives my highest recommendation as an exceptional place for the development of educational activities. It is without a doubt, a living lab in which to experiment and innovate in a wide range of disciplines. It is a superb context where educators can find a variety of didactical experiences that enable the creation and dissemination of knowledge about natural resources, their environment, its conservation, and sustainable human development.
